REVIEW!!!!!!! OBTAINED by Shanora Williams

REVIEW:

OBTAINED BY SHANORA WILLIAMS

Can you say Jules!!!!!!! I was hooked from the moment he was introduced. I wanted him under my Christmas tree, if I was Alexandra I wouldn't have cared if I lost my memory I would have believed him! This book had me so hooked I didn't put it down. Like all of Ms. Williams' books I devoured it. I felt for the characters, I lived in their world. My imagination was completely captivated with this fabulous world the author created.

There really aren't any words to describe what I was feeling as I read this novel. OK, maybe I could name some like: amazing, captivating, engaging, exciting, fantastic, and beautifully written. I have read all of Shanora Williams books, and to see all the growth she has made in such a short time it amazes me! the characters alone seemed so real, Jules--God!! he alone made the story for me. Felix was sexy, confident, and very cocky. In any other world I would have chosen him. I love me a bad boy, if you read any other reviews I have written you will see--bad boy, sexy smile, where?

Ms. Williams why must you read me? I have to wait till when for book two? and can I have Jules? please?

I give this book give stars! And I recommend this to anyone and everyone who loves a story that keeps you hooked! And the hot guys can't hurt, everyone loves a love triangle!!!!!

Review for Wicked Fate by Tabatha Vargo

SYNPOSIS:

What if you lived in fear of yourself?

For Mage McPherson being afraid of herself is just the norm. Thanks to that fear, being a loner in a small town never bothered the mysterious Mage. Once she received her secret abilities, she figured being alone was the safest way to be. That all changes during her sophomore year at Summerville High when Adam, her equally mysterious secret crush, starts to notice her.

Afraid that she might harm Adam, Mage must learn to either control or deny herself. With Adam by her side she's more powerful than she’s ever been, but is she powerful enough to defeat her worst nightmare? She learns a hard lesson about love and magic when her destiny comes to collect.

MY REVIEW:

This review has took me a while to write. After I finished this book, I didn't think I was going to be able to explain what I was feeling. Still as I'm writing I feel my heart filling with pain. Mage's story connected with my heart. I felt for her from the moment I opened it to the first page. Always feeling out of the loop, different, Mage tells a story of bullying and the way she handled it through out her full life, she's a strong girl. Reading this inspired me, it had everything I needed at the time, I was looking for something to speak to me, whether it was music, movies, or this novel. The emotions you feel as you read it, will fill you with pain. Different isn't always a bad thing, but most people aren't comfortable with different as much as they don't like change.
She might have been different, and she might have not had friends, but her heart was strong and she never let it get to her. She is someone I would could look up to. Loving Adam at a distance from elementary school, she knows he will never like her, the school speaks of her like she's a disease. Adam never pushing her away, defending her actually, but still keeping his distance. This story had it all in the makings, a true Romeo & Juliet romance.
The author Tabatha Vargo created character who were very relateable, they were character who you would think if you walked into a high school, there they would be. The hot jock, who had the kindest heart, but others stereotype him so they don't get to really know him. a beautiful face is nothing more then that, right? The weird goth girl, who had no friends, so no one takes the time to get to know her, even though she might think she doesn't want friends, its the only thing she really craves for. Fitting in is what most people want in high school, and deep down Mage wants that too. The new girl, not caring what others think, she sees a girl sitting alone at lunch. She's new she doesn't know anyone, so she sits with the weird girl, that everyone is avoiding. Sweet and innocent, others don't see it this way. It was high school all over again. Its not till you get older when you realize, who the hell cares if you are different.
The end of this book was shocking and painful, it left my whimpering, thinking "I really have to wait till the next one!!!?" I read this novel in five hours, I could do anything without it in my hands. If you love a good YA Paranormal romance, well look no further, this is the book for you. It really was worth the money and I don't regret buying it. I have it so I can reread it over and over.
I give this novel five stars, and I know who ever reads it will love it as much as me!

REVIEW SLIDING bNEATH THE SURFACE!

A new resident of America’s oldest and most haunted city, St. Augustine, Florida, fifteen-year-old Jeff Golden suddenly finds himself up to his eyeballs in frightening paranormal experiences. At the end of his rope in trying to figure out what is happening to him, Jeff decides to rely on his friend Carla Rodriguez, and Lobo, an old Native American shaman, for help.

Despite this guidance, things get even worse. Jeff’s spine tingling encounters increase in number and intensity at an alarming rate, scaring him even more. Eventually, he makes the startling discovery that unresolved circumstances involving a bloody event directly out of Florida’s distant past threatens his sanity and possibly his life.

Finally, overwhelmed by forces he cannot understand or control, Jeff’s world shifts from frightening to downright terrifying. In desperation, and on Lobo’s advice, he leaps headlong into the unknown in order to save himself. What Jeff discovers though is that he has entered a level of reality he is completely unprepared to handle while unwittingly dragging Carla with him.

Like all the books in THE ST. AUGUSTINE TRILOGY, the premise for Sliding Beneath the Surface is simply this: You create your own reality.

BOOK EXCERPT:

Someone called my name as if from very far away. It sounded like Carla, but I couldn't tell for sure.
I kept staring at the stained glass window with its surrounding mirrors and the clear glass oval as it hung there in the fog all by itself.

"Jeff?" It was Carla's voice. Carla and Lobo somehow appeared directly in front of me with the stained glass window behind them set in its door as it should be. How that all happened so quickly I had no idea.
The fog was gone and Lobo's house looked like it did when I first saw it. Once again, I stood on the porch.

"Are you OK?" Carla asked in a worried voice. "What is it? What's going on?"

I didn't say anything at first. Guess I was just too stunned. The change out of that horrible, dark fog had been so quick I found it hard to believe I had come back to Carla and Lobo. Where I had gone, I didn't know, but Lobo's words leaped into my mind: "Worlds within worlds within worlds."
MY REVIEW

When I was asked to review this novel, I was iffy. This book was told in the perspective of a fifteen-year-old  boy named Jeff. I'm not a fan of the male perspective, yet this novel changed my mind. I was intrigued from the first couple chapters when the introduced Carla's neighbor Lobo. I loved that it had a paranormal theme in it. The only thing it was lacking more of, was romance. This probably being one reason not like the persepective in this way. The characters mushed together well, the action was on point. And I never could have guess what was going to happen in the end. Which now a days, its hard to find anything with a suprising ending, that only deserved the high star rating.

Now my usual read, but none the less it was a delightful read. The author did a wonderful job at tell Jeff's story. I will be looking forward to reading more for this author. This is a younger teen novel, and I recommend this to anyone who loves a good paranormal read.

I give this novel four stars!

Review:
I loved this book! It had everything you could ask for, love, sex, passion, happiness sadness, and it still have that twist that made you wonder what the hell was up with the main character. Samantha young took a story that was very sad in the beginning, and transformed into a story were characters were growing and working with their problems in everyday life.  Not only was Jocelyn the main character having problems. It also address problems that the other characters were having which I found refreshing and realistic. The story gave me some heartache and troubles, I cried a lot and I was happy to see the main character grow into a beautiful woman. This story really made me want to go to Scotland and find me a hot Scotsman for myself. It was a engaging story that had me swooning, laughing and crying all in one, and if that doesn't make up a great story I don't know what could!
I simply loves it, I gave this book five stars. I'm a sucker for a good love story <3

Love, lies, and betrayal.
No one is safe from the undoing of secrets surrounding Essallie

MY REVIEW:
I have been waiting for this book forever, or it just feels like it was forever. Either way I loved it, this is the first series that's paranormal I have loved since Vampire Academy. I was left speechless after I finished it. I read Riven much like the other two, within hours I was done, and left yerning for the next installment. I didn't know what to do with myself, the author hits you with a bomb at the end leaving you feeling empty. It was something I waited so long for, it confused me and I wanted to crawl into a ball and cry myself to sleep. I'd say I was playing, but in truth this novel had me on edge the whole time I was reading it. It had so much action, it was like watching a very well made movie. It made all my fantasies of Kayden and made me want him even more..swoon!

This book left me wanted more and I can't wait till book four comes out. Its hard for me to write a review for this. I loved everything about this novel, from the moment you open the book to the moment you close it, it had you engaged really thinking you are fighting to stay alive.

Alivia Anders words flowed beautifully, every word had my mind racing to figure out what was going to happpen next. And she put the right amount of humor in it to make you laugh. It was the passion I was waiting for, it was teasing me like a tickle in the back of my throat. I wanted more, and this installment gave me a glimmer of home. Alivia Anders was teasing me with a lollipop and in the end she let me have a little taste. Then she took it from me and made me cry like a sobbing child.

I have no idea why I have fallen for a demon who munches on flesh, but I do. I didn't think it was possible for anyone to replace the love I have for Will in Infernal Devices, yet Kayden has stolen my heart. The world the author has created is brilliant, and if you love paranormal like me then this is a must read. There are vampires, angels, demons, fairies, mermaids, and anything else you can think of.

LOVED this novel like the others. It has mind-blowing action, love and all the right elements. It moves fast and left no stone untured. It has a very hateful and monsterous villian, someone who readers will no doubt dislike with a passion. There is even a twisted love triangle that is to die for. Question is who will you choose?
I give this book five stars!

QUOTES:

In that moment, all I wanted was to not feel alone. All I wanted was him. My lips crashed against his, feeling his petal soft lips melt against mine as I dug my hands into his hair. He pressed his hands against the small of my back , crushing his chest against mine. My hands moved from his hair, sliding over his cheeks and running along the back of his neck. Kayden Trailed his lips along my neck, butterfly kisses wondering ast my collarbone to the top of my chest. I flung a hand out along the bookcase, clinging to the wood as my legs buckled beneath me.
If this was the way to die, I would be glad to end it all right here and there.

REVIEW

I was given this book by the author for a honest review. (Well--after I begged and pleaded lol) I was hearing a lot of good things about this novel, I just couldn't resist. I was honored by getting to join the street team of this lovely author.
This book was oddly refreshing, I don't think I have read anything quite like it. It tells a tale of a girl who is a Princess and wants nothing to do with it, she just wants freedom. I as others can attest that freedom is something we all still strive to obtain. I read this book in one sitting, devouring it from cover to cover. It had me thinking what would I have done if I were in Echo's shoes? Me being the strong headed women my mother raise me as, would also fight tooth and nail for what I believe in, for what I loved.
When I read reviews from others talking about insta-love, and how it is unrealistic, it upsets me some. I too had what everyone calls insta-love, or love at first sight. It is very possible to love someone when you first see them, I have and eleven years later I am still happily married to the same man.
This story had some things I had questioned in all honesty. like the leather outfit the lead female character was wearing, I'm sure it had to do with the genre this novel falls under. It just confused me, what was it suppose to be? Historical? Distopian? And in the end it really didn't matter to me what it was. When an author can connect with the reader, and transport them into the world they created, that author is exceptionally talented. Nadege Richards is one of those authors. I can't wait for Deceiving Destiny!

I give this novel five bright stars! It had me engaged and mesmerized, it was like reading a classic historical novel with a modern twist. It was refreshing and original.

CHARACTERS

Echo:

Echo is the main female character in the novel. She is the Princess, the next to be crowned queen. Echo wants nothing more then to just be free. She has always felt like she was different then everyone in her family. She has two older siblings that are married and a sister that is a warrior. She had everything she had every wanted, except her freedom, and the will to marry for true love. She is to marry a Princess to save her kingdom from poverty, which the Prince is a...well you know what I mean.
Aiden:

He is Echos love interest, with his intense lavender eyes, (Couldn't you just Imagine what lavender eyes would look like? SWOON!) He is from Old Haven which is were the poor are from. In the beginning he despises Echo and everything her kingdon stands for. He thinks she is a spoiled pampered Princess. When he gets to know her he falls in love with the mystery that surrounds Echo. Aiden is caring and he takes care of his family, which is what a real man would do!
