Divergent by, Veronica Roth

SYMPOSIS: In the future Chicago, sixteen-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life,a decision made more difficult when she discovers she is an anomaly who does not fit into one group. And that the society she lives in isn't perfect at all.

REVIEW: Ok, where to begin? Bad news first so we end on a good note. Divergent was a highly anticipated first novel for young Veronice Roth. I love distopian novels, a lot. And I liked this one just fine, but it didn't live up to all that I was hearing so I guess my goals were to high. I don't like the idea of a man hitting a women.....ever! Being a jacka** totally different. People talk a lot about how books portray a realistic point of reference for young impressionable minds, so they complain about men fighting in books, or wanting to be with the person they love all the time. "Controlling" is what they call them, but there is no excuse for abusive. Peter is a douche. Please excuss me language, but in all honestly i wanted to hit him with my car. Ok now good news, I love the fact that Beatrice or Tris is brave and small all at once. I had went the main female character is a wimp. And of course she got the hot guy "Four" even though he said she's not pretty!?!  WTH is wrong there jerk face. Ok sue me, I back peddled a little.
The bravery. Is great, story line great. But to much hype over a book that didn't leave me wanting to run to b&n and beat their door down for the second book.

With that being said....3***stars
I hate doing it but it was an ok book nothing I'd reread over again.

QUOTES: "Yes and no. My conclusion." She explains. "Is that you display equal aptitude for abnegation, dauntless, and erudite. People who. Who get these kind of results are......" she looks over her shoulder like she expects someone to appear behind her "..........are called.....Divergent"
I love quotes that give reason to book titles.

Obsidian by, Jennifer L. Armentrout

SYNPOSIS: Starting over sucks!
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access. And a whole lot of boring..... Until I spotted my my hoy neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along, at all. But when a stranger attacks me, he literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well something unexpected happens. The hot alien next door marks me, you heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If i don't kill him first. That is.

REVIEW: I only read this becauae the book community was up in a roar over this book. And me not being left out, wantes to read these fantastic books everyone was raving about. I looked the book up on google and what did i find? Mr. HOTNESS himself on the cover.
I know, I know it was a cover afair from the start. I'm a sucker for a nice book cover, even more so with a hot guy! I bought this and Onyx with out reading thw synposis. Bad girl Stina! Lol....i know but luckily for me this book was a gem. I had fun reading it and i have to say it was refreshingly new. I've o.ly read one other alien book before.....guess what it was? If you guessed the host you are correct. I loved this book, the main female character Katy was just the eight amount of smart-ass for me. And aue me i have a thing for hot bad boy. And plus the black hair and greens can't hurt. And he left me as breathless as he left Katy, I can tell you that.

Five*****stars. I know what your think I always give good reviews, ita not that i just like the books i read, but i have been so mad i have throw a book across the room. I don't review sucky books get over it!

QUOTES: heavy foot steps come feom the other side, then the door was swinging open and I was staring at a naked chest. My gaze dropped and my breath sort of.....stalled. Jeans hung low on his hips, revealing a thin dark line of hair that formed below his navel and disapearing under the band of his jeans.
His stomach was ripped. Perfect, totally touchable. Not the kind of stomach I'd expect on a seventeen-year-ols boy, whichis how old I expected he was, but yeah, I wasn't complaining. I also wasn't talking. And I was staring.
My gaze finally traveled north again, I noticed thick, sooty lashes fanning the tips of his cheeks and hiding rhe color of his eyes as he looked down at me. I needed to know what color his eyes were.
"Can I help you?" Full kissable lips turned down in annoyance.

Helena Zane: Sacred Angel by, Shanora Williams

SYNPOSIS: Being a normal angel of the middle-earth was never Helena Zane's calling and when she meets two completely different men that have the same upbringing, she figures out why. An angel that fights and patrols the city of Athens from Hades who snatches away the souls from mortals just to gain more power. But after training and going though countless battles with creatures from the underworld, she becomes torn between the two gorgeous lovers that will do anything just to gain her heart. But continuing her love triangle and going through with the battle will only cause her heart to rip and shatter. The safety of the world lies within her hands: the hearts of her lovers dwells in her very palms. And she's the only one who can stop hell from breaking loose.

REVIEW: How can I put this gently? I freaking loved this book from beginning to end. And I'm really not just trying to be nice. This book had action from beginning to the very end. For the authors first book, it was fantastic. I wanted to scream for joy when reading this. I stayed up all night to finish this. I love the idea of Greek Gods, I love their myths. It compels me eminencely,  I didn't want to put the the book down, it had my heart racing and my muscles tense. It had a love triangle which I always love, I have already chosen which hottie I'm routing for " ARION" duh!
I really didn't like have Levi acted, and that is saying a lot, I love me some bad hot boys. I can't wait till the second book comes out.  And its weird I usually fall for the wrong one.
Helena was very curious and she stuck by what she believed, even though I had
No idea why she hasn't choosen Arion yet, hehe. Kidding Levi loved her in his own way I guess.
The story line was awesome. Its not everyday you mix angels and greek gods. An exciting read that I highly recommend!
FIVE***** STARS . This book was Percy jackson meets Clash of the Titans..

QUOTES: " After all." He says after he plopped another grape into his mouth. "You are the one that always peeps on me. I should be the one frightened don't you think."

"Oh. Is that what this is about? A friendship? You don't want to choose between us both, so you tease and lead us on then try to say that we are only friends?"

He laughs again as he watches he walk ahead of him. "Fall in love- so that's what this is about? You're just afraid, Helena. You're hiding your feelings so you won't have to admit to either one of us. It is alright to be honest with yourself sometimes." He said as he catches up.

Beautiful Disaster by, Jaime Mcguire

SYM: Abby is a good girl. She has good grades, and dresses as such. She tries hard to blend in and go unnoticed, until she meets Travis Maddox the bad boy heart throb of their college. Travis tries everything in his power to make Abby notice him. Even though abby notices him, Abby ignores the hottie-with-a-body with everything she can. Until one night Travis makes a bet with Abby she just couldnt refuse. If he loses he'll go with out sex for a month, but if he wins Abby has to stay with Travis for a month. Will this bet bring them closer together? Or break them further apart?

REVIEW: Beautiful disaster had me hooked by every cover it has. This book calles to me, it said " Stina you want to read me!"  And I really wanted to with all my being. Abby is fighting ao hard to stay away from Travis it makes you wonder why. But then again he has a bad temper. To me the story felt real and as people pointed out it might set bad standards for girls and boys. I on the other hand feel it was a story of love that can't help but to fight its way through. Haha....and Travis will find his way. Like i told my sister in law i was looking through the book for quotes and it made my blood boil to think about this imaginary boy! I give this book five***** stars because i can and i stayed up all night reading it and falling in love with these characters. Abby has real situations that some people can relate to. Travis also has elements about him that I can sympathize with. It made me fwel real emotions and its unforgettable.

QUOTES: A pair of heavy black boots stepped in front of me, diverting my attention to the floor. My eyes traveled upward; jean spattered with blood, a set of finely-chiseled abs, a bare. Tattooed chest drenched in sweat, and finally a pair of warm brown eyes.

" Sorry about that pigeon."

" Ah! A smile I'm not a rotten bastard after all." He winked

"Would you like to make a wager on that Abby Abernathy?" He smiled, his eyes animated.

Travis' mouth spread into a wide grin. "If you win I'll go without sex for a month." I raised my eyebrows and he smiled again. "But if I win, you have to stay with me for a month."

REVIEW: ( THE REVIEW HAS TO bE UNDER LINED SORRY MY LAPTOP IS FREAKING OUT!!!)

I really wanted to read this book after all my fellow facebookers were praising it. So I bought it thinking I was going to just read the first couple pages that night and go to sleep early. No, this is not what happened I ended up staying up till three in the morning. There is something about a good love story that keeps me wanting more. I know so cliche, but to tell you the truth it was love at first sight with my husband (well for me more then him) eleven years later we are still together. Things that I loved about this book are: The main character Sadie is very strong and she doesn't let anything stop her from what she needs to get done. I do know that its wrong to put all that pressure on any child, and its super sad that this happens in real life. I just like that shes very strong. I love Jax the main character isn't fat headed, well to a point ( do you blame him he is a teen idol.). I like that the author made him feel things. Do I believe that there is a man out there like this....LOL HELL NO. The things I didn't like were her mother, yeah I have a feeling no one liked Jessica that much. I also didn't like how she describes Sadie as a super model. I Don't know if a very beautiful person can be humble, to not even know they are gorgeous. OK...its alright because this is fiction. I love the book it made me swoon like a little girl at the right moments. I'm going to gave this book four **** stars.

QUOTES: Life has always been a struggle for me, from what I could tell, it wasn't daisies for everyone else either. ( THE beginning)

I'd seen this coming from a mile away before school let out.But instead of being able to go out and be a normal teenager. Jessica expected me to make the money.

" So, Sadie, how did ugly butt Marcus here find a beautiful blind girl?" Rock asked me as he flipped a burger.

The Core By J.M. Zuniga (A Diamond Mini series)

Continue to ffollow Diamond and Sid (Obsidian) in their fight for survival and to keep the core in the right hands. The enemy is closer then ever searching for the core, something so powerful it could sustain the energy of half the U.S. But if it were to fall in to the wrong hands in a society that is overwhelmingly desperate for energy. It could mean the end of freedom and lives!
REVIEW: This is the second book in the Diamond mini series. I have to save I have enjoyed this series more then i thought I would. The first book made me made for reason I will not say, but they are not bad reason just something that happened in the book. I don't want to spoil it for you. Bit this book redeemed me sour feeling for the first. This book has a distopian feel to it so of your like me and love distopian novels you will love this series. More then anything I feel a strong emotion for what these kids were going through! Having three kids my self I wanted to pull them into my arms and love them when they felt they had no one. Its nice when a story has characters you can relate to. Being as sad as it was i am happy to say this book brought out tall tale signs of a developing romance. Which I love a happy ending, I can't help but to root for these oddly named kids. I give this five stars,I know what your think i give all the books i read five stars. Its not that i donr like things in books. The only thing that bugs me about this books is their length. I wish it was a novel and not a short series, in which i would buy for twenty dollars right now with the cliff hanger at the end of book two.

Under Ground ( A Diamond mini series) by, J.M. Zuniga

Left alone in a secret room after their parents were kidnapped, Diamond and Obsidian must take care of their younger siblings. But how? They are facing the threat of intruders and the treat of starvation! Will they survive or will their fate fall into the hands of the intruders? Or worst will they starve to death?
REVIEW:
This story was tenderly written. It made me feel for the main characters. I started reading this thinking its not going to be something I like, because the genre was not what I'm use to. I changed my mind after two page, the story took off from the first page i couldn't. put it down. Even though tjey knew what was going on with their parents they kept strong for their siblings. I really wish this was a longer series, I cant waot till the three one come out.

Book review: Beauty Queens by Libba Bray

This book is about beauty queens on their way to a pageant when their plan crashed on a desserted island. While trying to survive on this island of weird indigenous animals. The beauty queens build hut, hunt for food, and still try keeping up with their pageant routine. They know in their hearts the corporation will not stop till they have been saved. But over time they find out everything they were told and lead to believe was false, the corporation won't save them they can care less, in fact they want they girls dead.

MY REVIEW: Let me start off by saying I L-O-V-E-D,loved this book, it was so easy to read it was as if I watched a great movie on T.V. Libba Bray is not only a exquisite writer she made it funny and fresh. She took a tragic beginning and spun it into a heroic end! The characters all having their own stories that tied into the bigger picture. I enjoyed how they all had tales its intended audience could relate to. My favorite characters had to be Miss Texas, she was very strong willed and straight forward, never once giving up on her dream. I found that by itself motivating she knew exactly what she wanted and went for it. Libba took different characters from different upbringings and nationality  and had them work though them to bring an united front.

I would give this 5 stars out of five. A charming tale with adventure mystery, and yes a little love on the side. It had humor and wit, a understanding of life and moving forward.

Book review: Clockwork angel by, Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Angels is about a sixteen year old girl named Tessa. She left New York for London in search of her brother. When Tessa gets to London see finds out her whole life has been a lie. Kidnapped and forced to change Tessa can only wonder what happened to her brother. While in her room one night contemplating escape,Tessa is rescued by the very handsome Will a shadowhunter. Sworn to get her brother back Tessa helps the shadowhunter fight the evil that holds her brother captive, or so she thinks

The Review:
Let me start of by saying i loved this book! Ok with that said I'll start of with characters: All characters fit together like a fitted puzzle. I love Wills don't let anyone in sarcasm, and Jem caring lovable demeanor. The love these orphaned shadowhunters has but no one speaks on touched my heart. Tessa in the beginning really got on my nerves because she was weak, but I am happy to say she changes toward the end , she becomes stronger slowly. I'm excited to see how her character turns out in Clockwork Prince. My least favorite character was Tessa brother Nathaniel. He was worst then the dark sisters who were the demon warlocks who kidnapped and tortured her. He turn his back on her and sold her out. I wanted to kick him in the face.
The story was well written and I enjoyed the world it painted out in my head. I usually find mistakes in books but the story had me turning pages so fast if there were any I hadn't noticed.
