Cover Reveal for Juliana By Vanda

Book Info-
Title- Juliana
By- Vanda
Genre- LGBT/Literary Fiction/Historical
Expected Publication Date-  September 14, 2015

It’s 1941 and Alice “Al” Huffman comes from the potato fields of Long Island with her childhood friends to make it on the Broadway stage, only to find she has no talent. She meets Juliana, the glamorous, perpetually-on-the-brink-of stardom nightclub singer whose voice sounds to her like “warm milk slipping down the whole of my body.”

Juliana, a sexual risk-taker with a secret, easily reels in a mesmerized Al who has never felt a love like this before.  Al is determined to hang onto Juliana no matter what. The only problem is that Juliana is more a woman of her time than Al could ever have expected.

Through Juliana, Al enters a secret world that includes men who wear frilly bathrobes and grass skirts and women who smoke cigars and wear pants with the zippers in the front.  Cameo appearances are made by Liberace, Ethel Merman, Talulah Bankhead, Lauren Bacall, Angela Lansbury and other 1940s celebrities.

Cover Reveal Worth Saving By Will Greer

When we first met, we were both lost.  It was written in our eyes when we first saw each other.  My past haunted me, your present haunted you.  I could see that you were aching, yet trying to bury the pain deep down so that no one would know, but it was there.  I saw it.  I saw you.

I thought you needed me to swoop in and save the day; to be your hero, your knight in shining armor that would ride in and rescue you from the torment.  And something inside drove me to a place I'd never been before.  A place where it didn't matter how stacked the odds were, because nothing would stand between us.  Nothing would stand in the way of me being the savior you needed me to be, and I'd go to hell and back to protect you.  I thought you needed me, but I was wrong.

It's me who needs you. I need your heart next to mine in order to get over what I've been through, and to push through the obstacles that are in our way now.  It won't be easy.  It'll be the hardest thing either of us has ever had to endure, but as long as we make it through together, it'll all be worth it, because you're worth every bit of the struggle.  It's because of you that I can stare death in the face and not feel the slightest hint of fear.  You make it all okay.  You're worth it.  You’re worth saving.

-Captain Austin Sloan, USAF-

Still not ready for October 3rd?  Check out this message from the author, WS Greer:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><i>"I took a break from writing for a while after my last book, Defending Her, didn't do as well as I was hoping it would earlier this year.  I had to kind of go back to the drawing board and really reflect on what I wanted to do, and think about how I could still entertain people with my writing, and how I could do something I'd never done before.  What I came up with was Worth Saving, a story about two people going through their own issues separately, who manage to come together and sort of save each other.  I tend to create damaged characters, and Austin and Layla are damaged for sure, but the beauty of it is that they can fix each other.  I wanted this story to be about love and healing, but also about the drama you have to go through sometimes when you meet someone.  There's always things you don't know about each other, but when it's real, you know it, and the fight is worth it.  There are things in this life that are worth saving, and there's nothing more worth it than love... and that's how the title came to be. </i></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><i>Authors always say that their latest book is their best yet, so I know it'll sound cliche when I say the same thing, but it's true, so fuck it.  This is my best writing, hands down.  I didn't know that I would enjoy writing romance, but as soon as I started on this story, I wondered what the hell took me so long to start writing romance.  I may have found my niche with this genre.  Worth Saving is a game changer for me.  I can't wait until October 3rd!!"</i></p>

Book synopsis:
This book contains sensitive subject matter that may trigger unwanted memories. This book contains graphic content and should be read by adults 17 years of age and older.

There was a time in my life when I was someone else.

She died.

As an investigator, I showed no emotion as I found dirt on men for the women that just so happened to fall victim to loving them. I enjoyed the feeling I got when I screwed men over; their discomfort brought me joy. Trust me, I wasn’t always deranged. I used to be young and naive to the evils of the world, but someone snatched that away from me, turning me into a heartless monster.

When I’m assigned another case, my new mark awakes things that I’ve spent my whole life trying to bury.
My past.
A man originally intended to be my mark triggers things inside of me that I thought I lost long ago. For him, I was going to face my past, but there was only one thing standing in my way. Will he be the key to my salvation or am I doomed to let my past continue holding me hostage?

Author Bio:  Stina Rubio's love of books runs deep. After being an avid reader for longer than she can remember, she turned her love of books into more and became a cover artists and a writer. As a mother of three boys and two pups, she tries not to melt in the California heat while wrestling with her muse and penning her tales.

I would like to say thank you to J.M. Zuniga. Not only is she an amazing person, she is a fantastic woman. I was introduced to the apocalyptic world in her Underground series. The underground series has an interesting look on alternative power, and what some will go through to get there hands on it. It was a complete mystery in her three volume series set. I loved J.M. Zuniga's books so much I couldn't wait to read Gwyneth when she released it, and I wasn't disappointed. It was a creepy escapade with a serial killer. He had me on the edge of my seat and looking over my shoulder as I read. Jenny had a heart of gold and she has always been kind when I needed someone to talk to. You shouldn't miss out on how wonderful she truly is. It truly is a blessing to know her.

To find out more about J.M. Zuniga and her work check out her blog at:

My favorite memories:

My favorite memory was when I had my son Bum or Daniel Jr. He was the best thing to happen in me life, and at at time I had no idea how much fulfillment I would receive from becoming a mother. When I was going in to labor I didn't want to tell anyone that my whole pregnancy I didn't think there was a baby in my stomach. Call it denial, or call it whatever you want. I knew My thinking wasn't logical, I knew there was in fact a child in there somewhere. I had talked myself into thinking my child was an alien, it felt like it at times. I believed this, or convinced myself  either way it was in my mind. I didn't cry the whole time, not until the laid my beautiful baby boy on my stomach. Him covered in all the fluids. I didn't even care, at that moment he became the love of my life. He was my best memory, the first time I became a mother of my alien baby.

My books & My library:

I dont have pictures of my book or Library, but it is big and I love surrounding myself with my books because it calms me. If I am stressed I will organized them until I'm calm. I love reading anything that is about romance and paranormal. I can often be found in my own world thinking and talking to myself about what had when on. My mind even as a child made up worlds I would like to live in or things I would like to see. Books to me, like to most readers is my escape from reality. So, I love happily ever afters, because it's the sap that I am. I am the endless romantic, the cheerleader of love, so I like my books to be happy some what.

I had a normal education, though it took me a little longer to accomplish my goals, but I got there. So, that's all there is to tell about that subject.

When I was younger and you would ask me what my passions were, I would have probably laughed. I was always a very intelligent child, but I didn't always make the right choices. I have always loved writing and it started off in poem form. So, if you would have asked me then I wouldn't have the answer. But as I got older My goal changed and with it my passions. By the age of twenty all I wanted to do was be a good mother to my two kids. By the age of twenty-five I thought to myself maybe it was time to take my writing more serious. I have wrote poetry most my life, and I started writing novels but not releasing them. So writing became my passion, an now I can add cover design and photography to the list. I didn't know what I wanted when I was younger, but now I see everything through clean eyes.

The first author I would like to introduce you to is CL. Matthews who is releasing her first book Taming Evangeline soon, and is working on many other projects. C.L. Matthews is also the go to swag queen. If you are interesting in finding out more about C.L. Matthews and her up and coming books, check her out here:

Or here wonderful creations here:

And the next author I would like to introduce you to is C.L. Foster. Who was many published works under her belt including Bluffing the Devil, Truth seekers, and The Best Thing I've Never Had. She is one of the sweetest and down to earth women I have ever met. So don't miss out on all the fabulousness. You can find more about C.L. Foster here:

Interview with Author Brian Bowyer.

Interview with the ever poetic writer Brian Bowyer.

I started thinking to myself a while ago, "Hey, what can I do to help other authors when they first start out?"
When I first started writing my novel I didn't even know there was this entire community of writers who link up and help each other. I thought I was going to be doing it the traditional way and submitting to publishing house. I didn't know the first thing about publishing, I didn't know anything. I still find it hard to process everything I have learned in these few short years, and this is what I would like to offer. Something to help inspire and inform those starting out. Whatever it may be: short stories, poems, novel, graphic novels, or creating book cover, formatting book, and editing. There are some many possibilities in the Indie community it is baffling at times. If you have been following I have already posted some amazing interviews with some incredible people. Who have an eminence mount of talent.

Brian Bowyer is no exception. He inspires me daily with his poetic post. Some to which will have me sitting there staring at the screen waiting for it to come alive. He makes me realize why I fell in love with writing in the first place. So, I would like to thank him for taking the time to answer these questions I had. Thank you Brian, again.

1. How long have you been writing?
For most of my life, pretty much.  I started writing music and lyrics as a teen. Lyrics progressed to poetry. I wrote my first screenplay when I was twenty-three and moved to Nashville the following year to go to film school. I decided then to try my hand at short fiction. I generated several stories during the next three years while developing my style and then wrote a novel called ROAD NARROWS. That book remains unpublished to this day. I spent the next decade working on my craft and finally published my first novel, SHELF LIFE, in 2011.
2. When you are writing what is your muse(s)?
Life itself, I suppose. Literature and music and cinema have certainly influenced my work, and females, of course, from my first girlfriend to my current. Women have always been a major source of inspiration. Loss seems to be a recurring theme in my work.
3. Is there a certain emotion you channel when you write?
No, but writing is a very emotional endeavor. We create characters and then it doesn’t take long before we’re just along for the ride. A lot of people think that authors put their characters through a wringer but, for me, it’s the opposite. My characters never cease to surprise me. Sometimes I fall in love them and sometimes they break my heart.
4. Do you write on paper or on a laptop?
For years I carried notebooks and pens in duffel bags and wrote in longhand wherever I found myself. On barstools, in cemeteries, mausoleums, museums, cathedrals, band practices, bedrooms, living rooms, didn’t matter. Then I would type my stories and screenplays and novels on Smith Corona word processors. Remember those? It seems like a lot of work in retrospect but it was so much fun. I still write first drafts in longhand, and then I type everything into Microsoft Word documents and begin revisions on second, third, and final drafts.
5. Can you provide links to all of your published works?
As of now I have four novels (SHELF LIFE, NOCTURNAL BLOOD, GRAVEYARD BLUES, and GRAVE NEW WORLD), a collection of short fiction (MATTERS OF SHADE), a collection of screenplays (NIGHTHOUSE), and my first book of poetry (THE LIGHT OF MEMORY) available as paperbacks or eBooks at Amazon.
6. Do you have somewhere that readers can find all of your work?
Yes. Here’s my author page at Amazon:
7. What advice would you give to someone trying to publish their work?
Read a lot and write a lot. There really is no other way to do it that I’m aware of.
8. Do you have any rituals before you write? (Music, exercise, baths, etc.)
When writing by day, I’m sober. When writing at night, I’m drinking.
9. Do you like working at home? Or do you prefer going somewhere to write?
I love writing at home, and I love writing elsewhere. Travel is one of my favorite things to do and I’ve always loved to begin wherever I find myself, which can be anywhere.
10. Who or what is your biggest inspiration in life?
Probably love, art, literature, music, cinema, alcohol, friends and family.
11. Anything you’d like to say to your readers?
Thank you for reading my stories.

Excerpt from Something like Love

Turning slowly to face him, I can see that his eyes are still closed, but his mouth is tipped up into a smile which radiates freedom. I’ve never seen him look so carefree. He looks as if his sins of the past are washing away with the punishing rain.
I know it’s not that simple, but through pain and loss, we have bonded together and gained strength. And that strength suddenly animates me to tell Quinn how I feel.
“Quinn!” I scream to be heard over the harsh rain.
My eyes are mere slits, as the rain is so heavy, but the moment Quinn opens his magnetic eyes, I see that he has changed. Something inside of Quinn has shifted, and it’s beautiful.
“Quinn, I—” I repeat, my teeth chattering from the cold, but also from what I’m about to confess.
“You what, Red?” he questions, running a hand through his wet hair.
Another thunderbolt sizzles through the sky, and I yelp. Charging into his arms, I slap my hands over his ears because I’m terrified. I want to him tell him how I feel, but I’m afraid. Droplets of rain cascade down his tender face, but he doesn’t stir to brush them away, and I know I have his undivided attention as his gaze never wavers from my face.
This is not the way I wanted to do this, but I know that for now, this will have to do.
“Quinn…I…I love you,” I whisper, my hands still sitting firmly over his ears.
Once I say those three little words, the tightening in my chest lessens, and a small smile tugs at my lips because I’ve never felt so boundless with a decision. And nothing has ever felt so right before.
